Vet&Co Referrals was set up in 2023 by Veterinary Physiotherapist Olivia Mann. Olivia graduated from Plumpton College in association with the Royal Agricultural University with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy. This three year degree has equipped Olivia with an in-depth knowledge of behaviour, orthopaedics, neurology, exercise physiology, anatomy and physiology of a variety of animals, musculoskeletal conditions and systems and a diverse range of techniques and protocols to ensure your pet has every chance to recovery from their injury, surgery or just to keep them in top shape.

Olivia has worked within the Veterinary industry since leaving school. Her career begin working in a 24hr small animal veterinary hospital at the age of 18, as a veterinary care assistant and then eventually a student veterinary nurse. Seeing a variety or orthopaedic and neurological conditions sparked Olivia’s interest in veterinary physiotherapy. Olivia then trained as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist (Cert ESMT) with Wolds Equine Massage in 2019 and became a registered ESMT. She worked for over 2 years treating a variety of horses from happy hackers to top level dressage, eventing and even Olympic Level showjumping horses. Olivia also works in film, and has treated a variety of dogs owned by famous actors, directors and producers.

Olivia’s qualifications to date include:

  • Accredited qualification in Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage

  • Up to date with Certified Professional Development Hours (CPD)

  • RockTape UK practitioner

  • ‘Fascial Edge Tool’ practitioner

  • Level 4 qualification in Animal Massage (Cert HE)

  • Level 5 qualification in Veterinary Rehabilitation (FdSc)

  • Level 6 Bachelors degree with honours in Veterinary Physiotherapy

Olivia is also a pet owner, owning horses and dogs. She has a keen interest in post-operative orthopaedic canines, canine neurology, palliative care, osteoarthritis management and is a specialist in physiotherapy for lumbosacral disease in dogs. She also has a keen interest in arthritis management for equines and canines.
